Meet the 1981 HMAS Oxley — a genuine piece of naval history rendered on a High Polish Chrome Zippo lighter. HMAS Oxley (S57) was one of the Royal Australian Navy's Oberon-class submarines. Chrome-bright and built to last, it carries the weight of the deep — a tangible artifact from an era when Australia's submarine fleet was at the height of the Cold War. The artwork is rendered on the lighter using the Surface Imprint process. It is in new condition with the flint removed and the flint tube clear. The lighters finish shows some light hairline scratches from handling. It displays beautifully.
