1982 USS Harry W. Hill (DD-986) Zippo Lighter

A rare piece of naval history, this 1982 Zippo was issued in honor of the USS Harry W. Hill — a Spruance-class destroyer that served the United States Navy with distinction. More than a lighter, it's a tangible connection to the men and missions that defined an era of American sea power.

The lighter is in new/unfired condition and the flint has been removed and the flint tube is clear. The Badge artwork on the front shows a small blemish (see close up photo). The lighter case is dated 1982 and the insert is dated 1983. Also included is the guarantee paperwork and original box that was used only in 1982, notice the "#218 Black Matte" label giving additional providence to its originality.
