2004 Marlboro Test Sample Zippo — Red Ultralite

This is not a production lighter. It was never sold in a store. Made in 2004 as a test sample for the Marlboro brand, this Zippo was produced in extremely limited numbers to evaluate the Red Ultralite chip design.

Test samples like this are among the rarest finds in Zippo collecting. They exist outside the normal production run, carry no retail history, and surface only when private collections change hands. This example is in new, unfired condition. The Ultralite chip on the lid shows some discoloration, so this example is priced less than the previous one (we are fortunate to have had two to sell!).

• Some discoloration to the red chip on the lid (see photos)
• Orange warning label and flint removed (standard for collectible display)
• Plastic Zippo display box included

Test samples don't come up often. When they do, serious collectors move fast.
